Hi guys..Here is a Brazil 1882-1884 scott 83 on laid paper...Never seen such a heavy cork cancel like this..Sorry about bad perfs, but just wanted to see if it was common to use cork cancels on Brazilian stamps at the time.

I am not Brazil specialist,
In my experience, Yes reasonably common 1866.1876,1879.
(There is an especially aggressive 6 bar "killer" obliterator)

After that the CDS came into prominence (Circular Date stamp)
