Elsewhere on this forum someone suggested that I apply a reduction of 96% to some on line album pages in order to make the frame lines, etc come out looking presentable in letter format.

How exactly can I do this? I cannot find any option to reduce by a percentage, just fit to page which looks funny- or print in a different page size which still results in truncation of the bottom frame line. I use a Canon printer, downloading pages fro a UK website using Chrome.

Any advice appreciated.

I believe that was me that posted about printing at 96%. It was actually A4 size that my album was created as. A5 is 5.8"x 8.3", so I'm sure that's not the page size you're referring to. A4 is 8.3" x 11.7". I printed the pages after I opened them using Adobe Acrobat Reader. It offers a print setting called 'custom scale'. I set that at 96%, and got the results I wanted. I now have a beautiful 3 volume album for Great Britain stamps. Now I need more stamps to fill it!

I agree with Dave. Custom scaling has to do with the application you are using to view/print the PDF, not the PDF file itself. If your current PDF application does not support custom scaling, you might have to install and use a different one.

DaveG28: Thanks! That worked. I had to download the page file to my desktop then open using Adobe. When printing I found 96% still did not print the bottom frame line. 93% does. Also I printed using 'Auto Portrait/Landscape' format. Otherwise the page was centered to the left. Just specifying this stuff in case anyone else wants to download these pages. The boxes are of course reduced but I can simply cover them over with black Hawids.

This forum is great, thanks again.
