Could you describe the stamps, please? Scott numbers in isolation don't mean much to those of us who've never seen a Scott catalogue!

Hi: The COB catalogue has a totaly different listing sequence.
Scott 144-61 in COB is 190-210 counting the 2F,5F,10F.
This does not include the sub types, color differences. The Scott 254-5 are COB 375 & 375A
I think this is about right;maybe someone else must verify..

Nice link! Tonight, I am going to make an album page for Scott 144-161. Can anyone with the COB let me know if there are any fun varieties of COB 190-210 and 254-257 that I should watch for? Thanks!!

It is a Belgian postage stamp catalog - Catalogue Officiel de timbres-poste de Belgique. In Flemish ( Dutch ) it would be the "Officiele Catalogus van Belgische postzegels ( OCB ).

In answer to Kelump question:

Yes there are a lot of things to look out for. Different colors(mostly nuances), some plate flaws and also other little mishaps.

I would not mind posting a scan, but I am in doubt about what is or is not allowed(it being 1.5 pages from the catalogue).

I will scan the pages and mail them to you. Mind you they are in Dutch.

Personal Opinion: The COB is a really good catalog.

Thank you, Johan!

I'm looking forward to learning how to read Dutch!

I've never heard of a COB catalogue. (dislike acronyms, lazy typists)
Is it this one ?

Correct Rod, but your picture is the Dutch edition, the OCB ( Officiele Catalogus Belgie ). And I agree with your acronym statement. Those should not be used on an international forum

Wow, I did not realise that. Thanks Peter.
Some acronyms are passable, perhaps, the common
BTW By the way,
FDC First day cover
IIRC if I recall correctly

I still try to expand if I can
