This blue typograph was delivered first on April 5, 1907. The Government Printing Office used on of its subcontractors, The Maurice Jones engraving company prepared the die for the Government Printing Office. The color was changed to black in 1915. The early printings were perf 12 and later hyphen hole perforated 6 ˝ or a combination of perf 12 and hyphen hole 6 ˝. Thus the illustrated stamps belongs to the earlier printings, OX13 in the current Scott Specialized listings. There are a variety of watermarks recorded reflecting the different paper suppliers. This information from the definitive work (Post Office seals of the United States and Possessions (1906)) by the late Jim Kotanchik.
