have come across queen elizabeth sixpenny stamp with bahrain overstamped at top and np 10 np at bottom. can anyone explain please.

It is a Great Britain stamp overprinted and surcharged for use in Bahrain. If you have a stamp catalog handy, search the Bahrain listings.

I reviewed the Scott catalog listings for Bahrain and don't see a 10np on 6p QEII stamp. There is a 40np on 6p, however.

thank you verey much for your replies. it is the middle stamp on the bottom line of redwood randys since then have also found king george sixpenny overstamped with kuwait and six annas. thank you again for helping.
