Dear Stamp Community Family

Does anybody know if other revenues exists, that were issued for two Independent countries (or more)?
Here I have Revenue stamp for Belgium and Luxembourg (statistic fee for some imported/exported goods). Right before I have found the corresponding decree of the Grand duchy of Luxembourg (see link).

Does anybody know the usage time for these kind of revenue stamp?

How about a revenue stamp issued by one country and only used in another area? The United States leased the Canal Zone. But Panama issued special stamps in 1955 (and so inscribed) for taxing distilled spirits in the Canal Zone!

Hi; These seem to be difficult to find. In the decree of 1926 there are 12 values listed (p.301).The 0.02 is not listed. Why?
Some more info; First mention of the EU (European Union) 1933:

Hi,

According to Barefoot (Benelux Revenues), the above stamp was issued in 1926 (and appears to have been in use into the 1930's).

Its purpose was to pay the tax on documentation for cigarettes (by the blue colour) in commercial quantities that passed through Customs between Belgium and Luxembourg. This tax was payable even if the cigarettes were duty free. There was a customs union between the two countries.

There were other colours for other goods.

Hello,

Luxembourg and Belgium have issued many joint revenues as a result of their economic union. Some of them are listed in the second edition of Barefoot's Benelux Revenues catalog (see pages 38 & 39 and pages 74 to 76 for the tobacco revenues issued jointly with Belgium and the Netherlands). I list some on my blog http://luxrevenuephilately.blogspot.com.

Thanks for posting the decree

Let me know if you would like to know more about these revenues or other revenues (I list Luxembourg communal revenues from 140 Luxembourg communes, past and present, at http://luxcommunalrevenuestamps.blogspot.com).
