As I've got very poor knowledge about stamps, I would like you to just throw your eyes at some photos. I don't ask you to tell me price for every stamp, but I'd like to know, if there's something that's rare or is worth something. This is not everything I've got. In my hands there are 2 albums and some envelopes full of stamps. Probably most of them are worth nothing, but are just a peace of paper, but I guess, that something in there might be worth something.
Thank you and have a nice day!

Is it because of the quality? Or are they just too popular?

Too common, or as you say too popular. Millions printed and saved.

Yes, the are very common but they are of value to some such as collectors just starting out.

These are the types of stamps that can get people interested in our hobby. You can sell them for a little bit of money on ebay or donate them to non profit organizations that promote the hobby like the American Philatelic Society or Stamps for the Wounded. Either way, someone will appreciate them!

There is one better than the average stamp in the first picture - China PRC Scott 965 (The big stamp with Mao). My Scott is old, but about ten years ago it cataloged for $13. However, it looks like your copy has a tear on the upper left corner which destroys much of the value. If you have more of the China PRC (1950's-1960's) there could be some value.
