Back of book under France. In my 2003 Scotts they're listed under 'Issued Jointly by the Allied Military Government of the United States and Great Britain for Civilian use' (that's actually the heading!) and the cat. numbers are 2N1-2N10 (1944) and 2N11 - 2N20 (1945) But I understand that in newer issues of Scott, the numbers have changed. Yours is a 1945 issue with black denominations.
Follow up: Here are Yvert numbers. Different catalogue
1944 - # 620-29 Litho perf 11, printed in US , numerals same color as the background 1945 - # 702-11 same as above but numerals printed in black |

In the newer Scott catalogs, it is France #523A(12Feb1945).
If you don't find it there, let me know what year catalog you are using and I'll locate it for you. They moved it to the current location a couple of years ago. |

OK, James gave you the previous locations. Thanks James. They have been moved to 475-476H and 523A-J now, respectively. |

I'll leave it to the others to recommend a book/resource. I only picked up the album and have been trying to fill in the empty spaces... |

If you're going to collect France, Maury is the best catalogue. All stamps illustrated, in colour, with Yvert numbers in parentheses. Available from Amazon and elsewhere for around £20. |

I didn't realize the Maury could be had for so low, Geoff. Thanks for pointing that out. The shipping to US is prohibitive, but it turns out Amazon is currently selling a Kindle version for US$20, so I might look into getting that. Thanks again! |

I tried a sample of Maury on Kindle for PC. Unfortunately, since there is no magnifier function available on Kindle for PC, the pertinent details are often not readable. Oh well. |

That's a shame. I'd assumed that there would be a US stockist selling on US Amazon or US ebay. Maury's catalogues are lovely things, filled with images of stamps that I'll never own, but enjoy looking at. |
