This spec-book contains a fold out diagram—let me know if you'd like to see pictures of it. Does the book have any historical significance? Any ideas about valuation? Thanks!

Very nice! As for value, there is a fairly small supply of things like and a small demand, so value is hard to peg. If I were selling it, I would start it at a modest price on ebay and let the market determine its value.

As always, I agree with John. To add just a bit to his thought about value scarcity and price often have little relation to each other unless a critical prerequisite is met and that is demand. I am sure there must be a collector somewhere who might appreciate such a bit of ephemera but I cannot think of anyone I have ever met. If it were a book that listed postage rates or schedules of routes or carriers or details on how a cancellation machine was operated and maintained or such then I could see some moderate interest in that such a thing could enhance a collection or a research library. How to build a cart to move mail from one part of the post office to another doesn't really hit any of these sorts of buttons.

I would be interested in it if you want to sell it. I would like to digitize it and make it available to everyone as a PDF.

Please get with Tara at the APRL (American Philatelic Research Library) and make sure it is listed as existing in the Philatelic Union Catalog. It would be wonderful if you or a future owner would at least make a digital (PDF) copy available to the library so it can be included in the Philatelic Union Catalog.

This item is one of many similar pamphlets, etc. produced by the USPO that seem to have disappeared into history without preservation. Its significant is not in its monastery value but its rarity.
