I'm puzzled by Denmark postmarks that express the place of cancel as, for example, "Klejtrup pr. Hobro." What Danish word is "pr." an abbreviation of & what does it mean in English? BTW, I asked a neighbor who's from Denmark & he didn't know. Tnx, in advance, for your help.

According to a Danish dictionary I found online pr. is a synonym for via, which have the same meaning in English I believe. So the letter would have been sent from Klejtrup via Hobro.
EdziuMM, just one little reminder please. This is an international forum, and we pride ourselves of being friendly. Please say "thanks" instead of that dreadful abbreviation? Thank you!
The V label indicates that it is an insured letter, and the insured worth will be indicated somewhere on the envelope. The V stands for Valeur declaree, known as Wertbrief in German. A more detailed explanation is in this link:
