I know this is probably a philatelic item and I do not usually pick these up but the bisected 2c stamp made it different. thought others may be interested in seeing it.



The red message says it was posted to commemorate the surrender of Nazi Germany on 7th May 1945.

I do not remember seeing any other bisects on this issue but guess that they must exist. However this one did seem to slip through the system undetected. Perhaps the postal workers were too busy celebrating to care

The rate of 4c would be correct, 2 cents for postage + 2 cents war tax. Most probably a philatelic creation.
