All, Received this R3c in a mishmash lot today. I have been able to find several straight line canx for this company, but no images like this (a CDS without the date...). Has anyone seen this canx before? Thanks in advance!  |

I also have a similar circular cancel, with a fancy swirl in the middle. Will try to get a scan later today.
I find it interesting that the circular handstamp has no date. Most of the circular handstamps from various contemporaneous companies in my experience have dates. |

A search of ebay for "Dr. Seth Arnold" showed up several interesting items at what seem to be reasonable prices. Thank goodness I already have way too many collections and not nearly enough stamp money... |

 I mentioned that I had the Dr. Seth Arnold handstamp with some scroll work in the center.  Here is the press printed straight line Dr. Seth Arnold cancel on the 1˘ Proprietary First Issue stamp. |

In addition to the scroll work, the typeface on your Arnold circular cancel appears to be different. Am I seeing things? |

Seems to me (my guess) its very common cancel.
