For the standard fonts on the PC, the only ones available are ¼, ½, and ¾.
You can make it using formula editors, but that would not show properly on text-only software.
You can install a special fractional font, but again you would run into the problem of it not showing properly on a computer that didn't have that font installed.
I've resorted to using "1/8" or 0.125.
I'm also interested in knowing if somebody has a simple solution to this that is viewable by all. |

I use OpenOffice. I found "1/8" under Times New Roman. Hope this helps. Robert |

Very good Robert! Indeed, it is in the standard Times New Roman! Thirds as well -- which will be useful as there are a couple of oddball stamp denominations in thirds.
Unfortunately, it won't show in text-only editors (or those that don't accept Unicode inputs) as it is not part of the basic display set. This is how it appears instead of the normal 1/8's and 1/3's fractions.
#8539;, #8540;, #8541;, #8542; #8531;, #8532;
However, it will show up correctly in Word, Excel... you can use the symbol feature to access them.

Thank you very much, gentlemen. I'll use 0.125 for the stamp image string.

I was confronted with the same problem, and just copied all fractions from the web on a notepad in my computer, that I open and use it when need it. |

Hi
Almost all fonts for a Windows machine have: 1/4 1/2 3/4.
If one goes to the character map with Arial font then one has: 1/3 2/3 1/8 3/8 5/8 7/8.
Realize all fonts do not have all the fractions.
Note: Tried using Arial Font but the 1/3 - 7/8 fractions are not allowed.

I use the fractions a lot and 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 are Alt+0188, +0189, -0190 respectively. The cents sign is Alt+0162. It has to be types on your num pad and best when num lock is on. |
