Scott 37 - Offset Or Not..?

Just wondering if this is classified as a true offset..Still some paper from envelope, but enough stamp to see offset.

On the 3c, sometimes aniline ink was used, that would sometimes bleed thru the paper. And it would look like this, so maybe not.

you may be right jimjung...could be aniline ink
Funny Unitrade does not show a classification of aniline ink and non aniline ink.

There is an aniline ink listed variety as # 245i
There is a Scott 41 listed on ebay with aniline ink

It was described by BNA expert dealer Charles Firby.
