Here are 2 cancels..Left one Scott 69 and right one Scott 70...Both Montreal Quebec.

Are they cancels - or precancels..?

One day when I was at the Maresch Auction viewing, I asked for a book on these. Peter surprised me with one. So you can probably phone them and get the name of it. There are a surprising number of towns with these and they were used for a long while for parcel cancellations; from around 1897 well into the 1920's.
