How Much Are These Great Britain 1840 Stamps Worth?

I have just inherited a load of stamps and have been trying to educate myself on them a bit as I want to sell them.

I have found these Great Britain stamps from 1840 including a penny black, a penny blue, a penny red and a double penny blue.

If anyone could have a look at the pictures and tell me some more infomation about them and how much they cold be worth that would be greatly appreciated :)

The first pair is from 1841, not 1840. Note the heavy white stripe at top and bottom. It is different from the stamp in the bottom scan.

The second stamp is from 1858. It appears to be mint, "unused" in the UK.

The last two are from 1840, Britain's first stamp issues.

Value for these depends heavily on any damage present which we can't confirm by just looking at the fronts. Any varieties that may be present require more careful examination also.

At first glance, total value would range from around a couple hundred US dollars if sound, down to something less than a hundred with faults. They are nice-looking stamps fit for most collections, far from the worst though not in the highest condition reflected in prices from catalogs and price guides.

Unfortunately, the 1840 stamps are both damaged. I can't see very clearly, but the left-hand side of the 1d black is damaged, and there is further damage to the lower right-hand corner. The 2d blue has four margins, which is great, but sadly a bite out of the top side. Probably a few pounds as space-fillers.

All of your stamps are potentially of reasonable value. You could upload each one separately and better quality if possible. It might help if you put a black piece of card under the stamps so that the edges are clearer and an assessment can be made.
I would rate them better than space-fillers but, as GeoffHa and hy-brasil have mentioned, any damage to stamps is reflected in a lower value.
That 1840 Twopenny blue is of interest. It has an edge knock but it might be "fixable" with care and the AA lettering is an added bonus. Even as a space filler it is worth at least 50-60 pounds and maybe more.
The pair of 1841 Twopenny blues is certainly worth a second look... at a better quality if possible.

Incidentally the 1840 2d blue is plate 1... plate 1 and AA is nice!
The 1841 2d blue pair are plate 4.. if that helps anyone else giving a valuation.

Despite the damage to the 1840 Twopenny Blue stamp it is very desirable due to being plate 1 and AA check lettering. Looking better with the edge knock almost gone but, if selling, draw attention to it. Value-wise I'd put it at around £100.
The 1841 twopenny Blue stamps are also nice and might get around 30 pounds because of being an imperforate pair.
