So my grandad past away a few years ago now sadly my Nana has recently passed away too. God bless her soul #128546; And we have been given the task to go through and clear out her house. There is all sorts of interesting collecterbles in the house. I stumbled across my Grandads stamp collection, and I don't really know what I'm evened looking at. I think some of them my great grandad collected. I thought it would be nice to share this book with everyone and to see if there's anything interesting about it. More then likely just a really nice peice of priceless history from my Grandads youth. But never the less here it is I will keep adding photos there are a lot. Ps. Spend as much time with the family as possible.
I think the value is a sentimental one. The plane on the front cover indicates a 1930's album. The stamps are basically the common stamps available to a child in that time period and unfortunately have not increased in value in the intervening 80+ years. Enjoy it as a memory of your Grandparents.
Definitely something to help engage other family members who may have an interest in the hobby, as in spending as much time with your family as you can :-)
One note- you may want to consider removing the stamps from the album and remounting them in a modern album. The pages have toned quite a bit which may mean they are not acid free. The toning could spread to the stamps.
