New Member Needs Help With Cover Found In Shoe Box

Found this cover (among others) in an old shoe box. Not sure if I should quit my day job and sell off some of these stamps, or if I should put in for overtime. A cursory review indicates most of the covers I found seem to be pretty common. This one may be different. I have seen a very similar one to this on ebay for $1,300. Attention seems to be given to that green line on the right side. Is there something here, or is this also pretty common and someone is blowing smoke? The smudged date appears to be 1918, which would be consistent with the postcards. Thanks. #9786;

The green line is a common guide line. The prices you are seeing quoted is a scam by very bad people.

Hi Shoeboxfind, and welcome to the forum. If you use the search function on this page and look for either green, blue or red line you will find all sorts of posts about this. The green line is a cutting guide were large sheets of stamps were cut to produce smaller sheets that are easier to handle.
