Mt. Grossglockner (3798 m) is the highest mountain of Austria and the highest mountain in the Alps east of the Brenner Pass.
Hoher Dachstein (2995 m) is a strongly karstic mountain in Austria, and the second highest mountain in the Northern Limestone Alps.

The design shows the twin-peaked Mount Belukha viewed from the south. The west peak (4,435 m) and the east peak (4,506 m) are separated by a glacier.
Belukha Mountain, located in the Katun Mountains, is the highest peak of the Altai Mountains forming the border among Kazakhstan, Russia and China.

The Cradle Mountain, 1,545 meters above sea level, is located in the Central Highlands region of Tasmania. It is one of the principal tourist sites owing to its natural beauty. The Cradle Mountain is composed of dolerite columns, similar to many of the other mountains in the area.

Here is an image of a stamp pair depicting Naples Bay with the world famous volcano Mount Vesuvius smoking in the background, and an early stamp of Naples, designed by Italian artist Roberto Franzoni (1882-1969), printed by photogravure, and issued by San Marino on October 8, 1958 to commemorate the centenary of the stamps of Naples, Scott No. 426, plus a photo of Naples Bay. Bonus: Stamps on stamps.

Stromboli is a small island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, off the north coast of Sicily, containing one of the three active volcanoes in Italy. Here is an image of a stamp depicting a view of Mount Stromboli, printed by photogravure, and issued by Italy on June 1, 1985 as one of four stamps in a tourism set, Scott No. 1632, plus an image of a photograph of Stromboli.

News flash: Spanish officials have threatened to take Gibraltar the day after Great Britain potentially exits the European Union.

Here are images of the two stamps in a set depicting views of the Rock of Gibraltar, printed by photogravure, and issued by Spain on July 18, 1969, Scott Nos. 1579 & 1580.

Ama Dablam ("Mother's necklace") is a mountain in the Himalaya range of eastern Nepal whose main peak is 6,812 metres (22,349 ft). Here is an image of a stamp depicting the mountain, printed by photogravure, and issued by Nepal on October 24, 1967 as one of a set of three stamps publicizing International Tourist Year, Scott No. 204, plus a photo of Ama Dablam.

Armenia is pretty big on Mount Ararat. Here are some imperforate proofs and stamps that were printed in Paris for the national government in late 1920, but were never sent to Armenia as there had been a Communist take-over.
