This guttersnipe variety resulted from the stamp pane separating on the right side with full intact small vertical gutters from the adjoining pane along the perforations rather than the usual guillotine cut that would result in half of the small gutters in between the separated panes from a sheet.
Contrast this to the small horizontal gutters at the top of the pane which is the regular size. This is the only such intact Canadian stamp pane that I have seen with this variety.
Guttersnipes are considered by U.S. stamp collectors as an EFO variety since they are found mostly on Stickney rotary press printed stamps.
By learning from the already vast established philatelic knowledge of U.S. Stickney rotary press printed stamps and applying it to Canadian printed Stickney rotary press stamps, there are many potential overlooked possibilities out there to make such new Canadian stamp discovery finds.
