Hi all, has anyone seen an error like this one yet? The stamp doesn't seem to be damaged but rather has an issue with one of the colors. It also slightly affects the stamp above it. Unfortunately I had removed the stamps from the booklet prior to seeing it. Tagging looks crisp and the way it should on all stamps.

Nice oddity, and very interesting to a specialist. Most likely not considered an error.

Why wouldn't it be an error or maybe a better question is, what's the definition of an error?

An error is generally accepted if something is very amiss, like no perforations or color or tagging completely missing - on several stamps. If there is only one around it is usually called either a freak or an oddity. However, it is a good thing that you found it and reported it on this forum. Now somebody may find another one.
To me it looks like your stamp was printed while something was attached to the plate, most likely a one of a kind thing. Still very much collectible though!

Appears that the ink was being replenished while production was running.

Although not a "constant" variety that would place it in catalogues with it's own reference number, it is of interest to error collectors.

I would be happy to find one myself for my own collection.

You should contact Saskatoon Stamps (1-800-205-8814) as they may be interested in purchasing it for sale by their firm.

It looks like a Repellex error to me, even though I have not yet seen such a thing on this issue. They are certainly not constant, but are of interest to folks like me.

Thanks for the comments. I'd like to hold on to it, at least for the time being. Maybe see if any more show up out there.
