Hi all, I have 12 copies of BK172 and it sure seems that only one is LF while the rest are MF. I've used a copy of #1738 as per Zatka's chart in Unitrade to double check it even. So what I'm wondering is if the Unitrade catalog is wrong and that the MF paper is actually more prevalent as I sourced these booklets from several spots over the last few years. Has anyone noticed the same or the opposite?

I can't answer your specific question as I have only one of each booklet.

If you bought one at time of issue and the rest at a later date perhaps the initial booklet was the LF and the rest were MF as Post Office restock orders occurred after the MF reprints were produced.

Hey Tkoops, I guess we got to keep in mind that at the time of the discovery the collector that identified the paper varieties might have had 12 copies of the LF and 1 copy of the MF. Heck, there might be a HF variety out there, or even a DF.

If you have studied the Centennial series you will find that a MF in the high values would be more closer to a HF in the lower values and vice-versa.

I believe Unitrade only identifies 5 degrees of fluorescence, when actually there might of been 10 degrees depending on the number of printings, time of year, shipment of papers, exposure to UV light, etc...

I hope that make sense.

now if they can correct the paper types for the SEMI-POSTALS, I might get some sleep.
