That's the way it was feed into the perpetrator. Normal for the issue.

Petert4522, That is the way the sheet was perforated. Then cut into panes, usually resulting with a straight edge. There would be an arrow showing where to cut the sheet into panes, usually at top or bottom, but not always, depending now which way the sheet was printed, size etc., and etc.

Peter, that is the simple answer, but it involves a lot more, suggest you go to library and read the front part of the Scott Stamp Catalog. There is a lot of basic information there, and always recommend stamp collectors to read this information. Good information. Besides its free!

Stampmaster, I was being a bit mean. Read your post - maybe you see what I meant. I have no idea what a perpetrator has to do with the way the stamp looks like!

Peter4522, I do not understand when you said "I was being a bit mean", I don't think you were mean at all. You did not understand my simple answer and needed a more involved answer, Sir, no problem.

Yes I made a spelling error, I make a lot of them, especially when in a hurry, its easy to make spelling errors with my one finger typing.

Cheers

Good luck in your stamp collecting adventures.

I just figured out that the "marvelous" spelling corrector function completely wrecked the meaning of stampmaster's post.

The word "perforator" was typed in correctly and changed by the "correcting" function to "perpetrator".

This has happened to me at least three times in typing this. Makes you look like you don't know what you are doing. Drives me nuts!

Is this the rare 'blue line' error everyone is talking about?

Lucky for me, Petert4522 noticed, and replyied fast to Stampmaster's autocorrected "perpetrator"
Witch got me, I must admit worry abit.
I never use the spelling corrector function thing (im sure, no one will be suprised here,
I do speak 5 languages, I can read them, writing is a different game
