I have a Tasmania 1d which I believe is from 1905 with the watermark "Crown and Double Lined A" inverted. I don't know if this is valuable or not. I'm looking for a catalog number and value to go with this stamp. Please have a look.
Could be SG230, SG240, SG241 or SG250! I can't see the watermark very clearly, and there are numerous colour and perforation varieties, some of them not. It looks like your stamp is litho printed, ruling out SG240 and SG238. Can you also measure the perfs. please, also give us a better look at the watermark and a better resolution scan of the front of the stamp? If you don't have a perforation gauge, measure the number of perforations per 2cm, preferably giving the top measurement first. All this will help!
Thank you Tim H. I don't see a listing under 250 for an inverted watermark but there is one for WM sideways. Did SG intentionally leave out the inverted watermark values?
