I noticed that, for new stamps, sellers are increasing their prices by 100 or 200 %, even more, when a stamp has a part of the sheet margin (or corners margins) What is your opinion about that? Is it really a + to have that part of margin with the stamp? Gives it to it an additionnal value? Thank you

Yes and no, it does / does not increase value of the stamp. It all depends on hat the margin or selvedge is all about. Also, on older stamps it shows where in the sheet the stamp was located. But generally speaking to increase the price by 100 or 200% is ridiculous in my opinion

Selvage often adds some appeal to a stamp, in my personal opinion. I think it tends to add a bit more value the older you get. One reason, is that you find fewer really old stamps with selvage. The selvage was often used for tape back then, and is not as frequently seen on stamps still. |

I agree with the observations above, although I do not recall being asked to pay a premium for a stamp with margin/selvedge/selvage attached (unless it was for traffic lights, gutter pair or inscription block). If I my add my thoughts on the benefits, if not added value, of stamps with attached margin:
1) Aids handling, when not using tongs (but frustrates positioning on a pre-printed page with space for just the stamp and no margin)
2) Aids identification of watermark, especially on used stamps, but also on mint examples.
3) The inscriptions - date of issue, printer, postal authority slogans and tips - can be interesting.
4) The traffic lights - showing the individual colours used that make up the stamp design - do seem to add value to stamps when present on the attached margin.
5) Gutter pairs - two stamps separated by a shared strip of margin, usually at the centre of a sheet containing two or more blocks of stamps, also attract a premium, due to their relative scarcity. |

Sheet margin (selvedge) can identify a stamp's position on the pane. Sometimes this can verify a position with a constant variety (plate flaw).
Also, on Germany area stamps, selvedge can identify whether the stamp is a flat plate, or rotary press printing...which has a bearing on value. |
