Hi, I have two 1889 2k green and I am trying to find out if they are the groundwork inverted like #lot 430 from here: http://www.cherrystoneauctions.com/...untry=russia . I tried to find more info, but it's still unclear how to identify them. If any specialist here could help me it would be highly appreciate it. Thank you.
This subject has been treated before on this forum - I suggest you use the "search" button on top of this page. Also, if you would like our help you need to post much better pictures, preferably scans of the stamps
The groundwork is not printed under the crown at the top of the stamp. If there is an unprinted crown shape at the bottom of the stamp, the groundwork is inverted.
