take a look at the stamp on the right..Colour difference from left stamp is very evident...The right stamp has absolutely no glaze to any colour like the left normal stamp has..The words are crisper on the right stamp...The only thing I can figure out it was MAYBE (maybe) printed on the gum side, but that is too much to ask for.

Any ideas..?

Robert

Robert, you're getting too forgetful. These were on this forum some time back and I believe they are two different printing methods.
And please do not feel too bad about that first part - I am going the same way!
Robert, these stamps were printed twice, once in lithography and once in rotogravure. There is a good post on the "same design different printing methods" on this forum and it shows the whole series in both methods.
Search for Scott Canada 709.

Peter is correct about the different printers. Lithograving shows them here:

These stamps are also susceptible to dramatic color changes when exposed to sunlight.

Thanks stampmaster, Petert4522, and BeeSee....Sorry about posting it twice..Have to do search before I post again, but helpful I guess with any new guys coming on line, as to not have to search the massive data base...

Thanks for posting this. I had these stamps and was going to research them eventually. I was wondering about the Sun. I did notice the paper difference with UV. I just wanted to chime in . Good Evening Treina

TJA1523..You will see differences with paper under UV lights..some are high florescence, low florescence..etc...etc..
And yes, sun light can affect what you see.

You have made the same comment on a couple of posts.

CANADA150..Relax...People post to give their take on subjects, to get a better understanding of what they have in front of them, feel pleased that some one on this well run site is appreciative of their comments...It is the way things happen...So relax..

BTW..Welcome to the forum.
