Canada 195d (sometime from 1932 to 1935)

It was ahead of its time by British American Bank Note Company (BABNC) with web-fed dry printing on pregummed paper rolls.

The U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) was using web-fed Stickney rotary press which wet printed. This press was also used by BABNC.

It was not adopted nor used by BEP even though they were looking for such a dry printing method. It was not until 1971 did BEP use web-fed dry printing on pregummed paper rolls.

It was also lost due to BABN losing stamp printing contract in 1935. Thus, no support by Canadian Government Post Office Department (POD).

Why don't you just give it up? You are just beating a dead horse on this one. This is just another flat plate stamp. It's nothing more special, just move on.

Canada 150... Why are you so sure that it is a flat plate printing?

Scott, Unitrade, Holmes, Darnell, Hansen, Milos, Lyman, Lowe, Bileski, CS, CWS, etc. identify it as flat plate. Surely, all of these great Canadian catalogues can't be wrong for so long.

New and updated information is always important. Out of all of the catalogues listed above only Scott/Unitrade is still currently around. The others are mostly out of print. It is hoped that they make the appropriate progressive changes.
