Not necessarily. Since Craigslist was brought up in this thread, I thought I should mention for those unaware: the one situation that you NEVER want to accept PayPal is for a face-to-face transaction, e.g., Craigslist, garage sale, flea market, etc.

Why? You have no proof of delivery. All the buyer has to do is go home and file a nonreceipt claim, and you will automatically lose the money.

The only scenario where you should accept PayPal for an in-person transaction is if the buyer agrees to send it as a "Friends and Family" no-fee payment rather than a normal PayPal payment. Then they can't claim nonreceipt.

There's still the possibility of a fraudulent use claim, but one is susceptible to those for ANY PayPal payments.

Agree with the above ,write up a summary of your experience and make copies of all the information he send you ,check ,envelopes and notes . Make five or eight copies and mail them around to all the agencies that deal with fraud .
