France Scott 1010, Curved Scribe Lines

I had another thread on curved scribe lines for Canada. This one looks similar. This Scott 1010 (SG 1546) has a nasty crease in the selvage paper, lowering the value significantly.


The pip in the selvage seems to have two different curved lines. Are these to help position the stamp in some fashion?


But what is interesting is that another curved line, very similar to one of the pip lines, appears in the right side of the stamp, continuing below into the margin.


Any explanation for this?

Hi; Just a scratch or something.In fact there is a variety of this stamp
,with & without 3 barges in the river!

Perf12, thanks for the information. The copy with the scratch is the 3 barge version.


And I have a used version (no scratch) with No Barges. Any price difference between the two? (SG doesn't list this variety.)

It also exists missing 2 barges! Mint normal sells for max 1$,3
missing depending on who is selling maybe 10$ ? 2 missing 4.50$
Blocks with missing barges in one of the 4 sell for more evidently.
