Here are 2 Scott 1700 stamps..The one on the left is normal, and the one on the right has colour shifting..It gives the appearance of a double rock as the arrows indicate.
Now before everyone out there says "it is just a colour shift, worthless price", Remember this a printer (and I was trained for 4 years in High School and worked for one year in a print shop) that does exactly what most printers do..At the beginning of a run, they will print 1 to 3 sheets for colour adjustment and then make the adjustment, throw the test sheet in the scrap, and continue the run.
I look at these shifts that are not common in a different light..Just sy the printer ran 2 or 3 sheets for colour adjustment..Threw one in the junk bin, but allowed the other to become part of the run..
Well, guess what, we now have a sheet with 50 stamps on it put into circulation..Maybe (MAYBE) there are ONLY 50 to 100 that exist...Some thing to think about.
Any ways, look at the stamp on the right...
Robert
