I purchased some lots in their 7 September sale, they have not arrived in the US yet and they do not reply to my inquiries. Could anyone share their experience(s)?

Have purchased many, many lots from many auctions over the last 10+ years and never had any trouble at all. They have just moved to a new location not far from their original building.

At present their working towards there next stamp auction. They also do coin auctions. Auction 336 - Stamps and Covers - Thursday October 26th, 2017. Have bids in on this auction like all of their auctions.

2 weeks before they get your order out the door and 2 to 4 weeks before it gets to the US. If you are from the US or Europe is about the same.

Try your tracking number to find your item.

Send your email to Sabine she is on the job.

KGV - thank you kindly for the info. Much apprecated. I just heard back from Sabine and she said that there are customs delays according to Australian Post.

I've also had customs delays recently, items taking a month to get here, resealed by customs.

Status is one of our most respected auction houses Down Under. One of their directors, Chris Ceremuga, has often impoverished me with his mouth-watering Polish material. He is also a registered proofer for Polish & Australian material

Hi Rogdcam,

I hope your items arrive safe.

A warning regarding Status if you are in the market for state and federal perfins on Australian stamp issues.

Being

they continually except and sell fake and dubious material.

Their duty of care when excepting and listing this material is non existent and when you question them you are quickly rebuffed.

I don't know any other auction house that has someone on the payroll who can create certificates of geniuses for any lots that pass through their doors.

I didn't realize Ceremuga was one of their directors. So they are certifying lots in their own sale?

In the hay day of perfins many many fakes were made. Perfins that had never been recorded started showing up.

Some of the certifiers refuse to give certificates to any Australian perfin because there are so many fakes out there.

So buying a mint stamp with a perfin you can not be sure if it is a fake or not.

Used stamps with perfins I have been looking for post mark ink in the perfin wholes has given something of peace of mind concerning some perfins.

Forgeries have destroyed the credibility of any Australian perfin. Simple as that.

Any certificate for a perfin no matter who issued it has to be treated as suspect.

This is a very old issue now. Very old news indeed!

What does the tracking number tell you?

You would have extra cover on your purchase?

It has taken 9 weeks for some of my kiloware to get to a Netherlands buyer and tracking info kept the buyer hopeful and happy.

It is an International item and so Australian Post does not have tracking capability for it.

All my sold items that go to international buyers have trackable numbers for extra cover and I also believe signature on delivery is trackable as an international item as well.

They are always trackable. If you are having trouble trying to find the right site to check your tracking contact auspost directly by email or phone and they will tell you where your parcel is being held up at.

Edit: When the trackable item gets into your counyries mailing system it is no longer trackable through auspost.

When an item is lost after it enters your county auspost has to wait for your post offices to give them info on your item in your county.

Hi KGV yes you are correct in the Hay Day many fakes where created and even in the last 20 years A known Sydney forger "The Greek" been producing anything and everything in his shed.

Where do you think most of his work has been sold through?

Hasn't stopped Status writing up certificates, listing and selling who wins?
1:Forger: I will keep producing if I can sell
2:Auction house not our problem if it sells we make commission

On the contrary more often then not the forgery's are crude and even with the good ones there are differences, the knowledge and information gained over the years regarding perforating methods, die types and pin positions helping with identification.

The PCNZA have been working hard over the last several years to dispel the doom and gloom regarding perfins.

Victorian Government Perfins supposedly one of the most forged collecting areas after 27 years it appears all of the forgery's listed in the 1993 Victorian Government Punctures Neale Scott & Brian Toop where one offs.
Thanks to Neale's quick actions in shutting down the forgers he now has possession of the fakes.

10 years ago I would have said yes but technological advances now allows us to separate the fakes from the genuine.

The PCNZA has a dedicated forgery detection committee covering a wide range of perfins.

They have accumulated analytical data based on genuine copies that any perfin can be measured against.

It is only an old issue and old news because no one wants to deal with it and while an auction house like Status can continually sell this junk and not be accountable it will continue to happen

You will have to get Status to contact Aussie Post to contact USPS if you are in the US to do the trace. Only way it will work with registered post.

The last registered I had from Europe to Canada took 62 days
