Can anyone tell me in 2017 what would scott#086 BOB 1876 War Dept. Six cents stamp pair be worth certified? Is it worth the submission to PSE? Is this too much to ask?

Collect4daze, this stamp is in the Scott catalog. Mine is about 30 years old, but you might find a more recent copy in your local library,

Peter

The six cent War is not a scarce departmental stamp, with approximately 1,556,000* hard paper stamps issued (O86) but is somewhat less common than the soft paper issue O117 (2,029,713*)

The two stamps are easy to identify. Not really much of a need of certification, IMO.
