Are there any specific details to look at to determine whether it is a regular issue stamp or a bureau issue. Also, if anyone has any extra information about these stamps that would be awesome!

They are both regular issues, i.e. definitives. 226 is a small bank note issue (printed by the American Bank Note Company) and 258 is part of the first bureau issue (printed by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing). Upper corners tell you all you need to look for about the differentiation: bank notes = no triangles, bureaus = triangles. Triangles were added by the Bureau to differentiate their product from that of the ABNC.

You are welcome. The first Bureau issue of 1894 began a run of almost 50 years of all U. S. stamps being printed by the U. S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing, until the 1943 Overrun Countries Issue (which was printed by none other than the American Bank Note Company).
