the 26A would show the side frame lines ending at the top and bottom.

Below is an example of a 26 showing frame lines continuing past the top and bottom


Also the 26A frame lines are often not straight. See the crooked right side line below.

Stamp on the bottom has an outstanding chance of being number 26A. Look at the frame line on the right side. The frame lines on the outside sides had to be drawn in by hand on this type so in many cases they are crooked. The right side of your stamp is extremely crooked.

That being said, I'm not an expert on this issue and others like Winston Sinclair will chime in on this one but I'm hoping he's also going to say 26A.

franklinluke, it is always better to evaluate these and other stamps with good images of each stamp. With that said, I am fairly certain that all are Type III, Scott #26. The most interesting stamp would be the one on the right. A better image of that one would be good.

stampcrow's bottom stamp is a Type IV, Scott #26A but he did say as much.

Actually, the stamp on the right (in both images) had perforations!
