Can someone tell me what the 2017 SG catalog value is for a St Helena 1896 1d QV, never mounted original gum is? Found this in a big group of St Helena I won in an auction.

Is that for hinged or never hinged?

It's a hinged price but SG is also not a net price catalog like Scott is supposed to be. You should really check out dealer sites for realistic prices.

There is typically not a big premium for NH Victorian stamps as collectors of that period don't generally care about NH like the George V collectors do. NH lower values are also around due to large blocks being broken up over time. Consider also that the perfs on yours cuts into the stamp design and reduces the value. Still, the drop wouldn't be as severe as it would be for George V issues.

Thanks for the info. I'm not looking to sell it, I just acquired it in an auction. I asked because all I have is Scott and there always seems to be a discrepancy between Scot & SG. I really didn't see this on in the auction photos so it was a bonus and I just wanted to see how much of a bonus it was.
