I have searched the web, and I can find several stamps that have RWB on them. However, those pages only mention that fact that the RWB backstamp is there. What does it mean?

Thanks for your reply.

It could be an owner's mark, but it seems too common for one owner to be RWB?

You can find them at online auctions like this example.

It is an owner's handstamp. Unfortunately, I can not remember the name. The owner was a collector of plate strips and plate blocks. It is not the mark of the Weill brothers. They never used a handstamp. They would sign in pencil "R Weill Co" and only on rare occassions.

I have come across a number of these. I had always assumed it was an owners mark.
