Not sure but I am trying to ell the difference between die 1 and 2. I know Die 1 has United closer to the inner circle. But the image in scotts 2005 also shows Die 2 United closer to inner circle but with you closer to numeral 1 circle and N and T of cents closer. I also read that the C and O are more rounded? Any body have a picture of Die 2?

Perhaps this will help. I find the illustrations and descriptions in the UPSS Catalogue better and easier to use.

Descriptions of the circular dies in the Scott catalog seem to be written as quick reminders for experienced collectors. As wt points out the descriptions in the UPSS 20th/21st Century catalog are much better. New e version of that catalog to be reduced soon. Extended descriptions are available in the e-book: Collector's Guide to the Circular Dies. Both are available on the UPSS website: http://upss.org

Fantastic info! I just came across Bill Lehr site and his info matched this ones. Much better than Scott's identifiers.

jobi01,
Thanks for the info and link. I just ordered the 19th century and the 20th & 21 century e-books. It will make it easier to sort those envelopes of cut squares.

"New e version of that catalog to be reduced [sic] soon."

The new version of the 20th/21st Century Envelope catalog is now available at http://upss.org

9 bucks. Really a bargain.
