Possible Indian Letter And Cancellation

This was included in a stamp album I bought. I have no idea what it is. Maybe the owner's notes?

This is a Roznamcha from Jaypur to Ajabgarh and it is dated 1768 Vikram Samvat i.e. 1711 AD (yes it is that old).

Roz means day/daily and Namcha means diary. These were the daily reports sent by the local officials to the superiors of the respective departments.

The black negative seals are private seals of the sender which are popularly called "Chieftain's Seals".

Unfortunately, very few people collect them. So these are quite cheap inspite of their age.

And it has been posted upside down.
