KGVI Black Bars Question

hi all,
i thought black bars were for use on training stamps or is this a type of obliterator?.

I would assume these are training stamps.

I guess the cancellation on the 5/- stamp is something like:

LO(NDON)
PO(ST OFFICE)
TRAI(NING SCHOOL)

I have a few copies of kgvi training stamps and the training school cancel but never seen this particular one before.

Yes, training stamps. Never seen any above the 2/6 value before.

Clearly, there's printed bars on KGVI ones. The latest ones do look like they're done with marker pen and with just a single bar on the pound values.

a search on Google and ebay resulted in standard copies I either own or have seen before, I haven't been able to find the above copies, possibly fake?

Jony, I've never seen high value stamps uses as training material before now. I suppose they should exist, though. Have a look under a x10 glass to see whether the bars are applied over the cancels, or the other way around. If they're over the cancels, then they may be forgeries; other way around and they will have been cancelled as part of the training process.

Tim, I can see holding them to light that the cancel is on top of the bars on both stamps.
