stalizer,

I have those Falkland Island Dependencies map stamps as well. I believe they were issued with regular and with thin map lines.

Lovely stamps Ringo, thanks for posting!

Been a bit as I've been trying to complete some sets. Although not complete here is the 1938 Ceylon pictorials. Still looking for the last 2 key values (1R & 2R) in blocks of 4 and I'm finding they are not easily found.

*EDIT* Thought I was missing something. Went back and looked at my invoice and saw I was missing 1 stamp so I dug through the garbage and found this one tucked in an approval card that I missed.

Beautiful stamps all. I really love engraved stamps. Some of these sets belong in art museums.

I like the KGVI pictorials. A common frame but designs vary by country.

Stallzer - on the Dominica set, the contract for the 1/2d was awarded to Harrison and Sons to be printed photo. Grenada was another colony who did the exact same thing. No doubt a money-saving measure as Harrison's process was so much cheaper than recess printing.

Thanks Sherman, any information on why only the fractional currency value was farmed out for printing?
