Cathay Pacific, 1984 747 At Kai Tak

 


Hello,  I hope you enjoy seeing this stamp. A bit of nostalgia for some readers perhaps.  

Issued in 1984, yes that long ago, as one of 4 stamps in the Aviation in Hong Kong set. It shows a 747, not a plane we see that much of these days as they are slowly being retired, and this one in the very old Cathay Pacific livery. 

This showing the 747 taking off from Kai Tak, the hills in the background are just a wonderful memory of taking off / landing there.
