I bought approximately 450 Canadian stamps recently. Victoria Edward and George. Various cancellations, some heavy, others little if any.

What do you think, did I do okay?

If this fits your collecting interests and if the price was reasonable in your opinion, then you did OK.

Now here's a question. I'm taking some of them and soaking in warm distilled water to remove some of the stamps from the mounting paper (eek. Some had masking tape to stick them down!) and is it better to remove any envelope left over the back of the stamp, or leave it off you're thinking of selling? Does the fact there may be OG left increase any perceived value in the market place?

These are all used stamps. Gum is irrelevant for used stamps. Soak everything off.

I am a collector but limited about Canada stamps. What might be the perceived monetary value here? I see off center stamps, damaged stamps, varied cancellations among better condition used stamps. Are there varieties, perfs, watermarks, errors other exciting conditions that anyone can shed some enlightenment.

These look like Canada Scott/Unitrade 75, 77, 89, 90, 109 and 167 used stamps mounted in picture frames. Is this correct?

Jogil is correct..Grab a copy of Unitrade and search for rare or semi rare stamps...Get them off the paper.

These stamps are of low value. However, if you are into varieties (centering, colouring, "errors") and cancellations you can have fun with them.

The 1c and 2c Queen Victoria and King Edward stamps commonly have flaws and re-entries. I don't generally find flaws on the other stamps here. The flaw/re-entry stamps have some value.

Jimjung,
Can you explain what a re-entry is when it comes to stamps?

Thanks in advance,
!E

Go to http://re-entries.com for definitions and hundreds of examples. You might find one or two in your collection.
