Hi everyone! I have inherited my grandad's stamp collection but it is not in great condition as most of the stamps are in envelopes or loose and not in any working format. There are thousands of stamps to look through and I have no idea where to start and have two small children so do not have the time to sort through it. Does anyone know where I can take the collection to get it looked through or sorted into correct countries etc and maybe valued? I live in Essex. Thank you.

The likelihood is that no-one in the trade will want to go to the effort of sorting out an accumulation unless there's some prospect of value. Why not take a few photos and post them here, and we might be able to give you a sense of whether it's worth your approaching an auction house?

A new collector may be interested in obtaining these stamps as a means of starting his collection. But the offer to buy would necessarily be quite low.
