Hi Everyone, Thought I would post my two interesting error issues of the KG V sets. One is,I think, a secret mark example and the other is a dot before the 1. Anyone know how common or not these are? My catalogue puts them as 10 dollars cat value. Would welcome any comments. Thanks, Revdoc.

These stamps were printed mainly in sheets of 480, with one of each variety on the sheet from day one of production, so that defines the rarity. Some of the other varieties were caused later damage to the plates - rust, scratches, cracks - resulting in greater rarity, and thus value, depending how late in the overall production the damage occurred and/or how long the damage went unprepared,

Each sheet was mostly printed using 4 plates referred to, for some reason, as Plates 1 to 4. Each plate consisted of a left and right pane of 60 stamps. The panes are commonly referred to as I to VIII.

The secret mark is found in Stamp 1 on Pane VII, the left pane on Plate 4 - (VII/1).

The dot variety is Stamp 21 on Pane VI, the right pane on Plate 3 - (VI/21).

The value of the stamps will depend upon perforation (line/comb), paper (smooth/rough) and watermark (second/large multiple).
