It looks like a nice clean beginners collection in a beginner album, I would estimate the value $10-$20.

Inagoodplacenow, I have no idea why the theatrics, but you can check on http://stampworld.com and see if Ken is wrong with his estimate.
I also did not see anything that jumps out at first sight.

As other posted, it appears to be a great start on a collection. A good introduction into stamp collecting which will allow you to become familiar with identifying stamps, learning about history, geography, and other cultures, and a good way to dispose of any extra money you might have around.

inagoodplacenow, some stamp collectors ar very much interested in the cancels on the stamps. By "a nice cancel" he probably means a very interesting or unusual cancel
