List Of British Commonwealth Countries During KGVI Era

Is there a list of countries that were part of the Commonwealth during the King George VI era?

I have a small album which contains all the1946 peace issues of commonwealth and colonial British territories. This is probably pretty close to what you are looking for. If you can give me a couple of days, I can list these for you.

Angore, another way of finding this would be by Googling "Timeline of the Commonealth of Nations". Wikipedia shows it all the way from 1926 through today.

I was going to say to consult the Stanley Gibbons catalog but your list is even better, Rod. To be honest, I don't think I have that many countries in my Palo albums.

Also, Itma, I don't think there are Peace Issues for all countries.

Have fun! The drawback (for me at least) is the volume of omnibus material - the Victory issue, the Silver Wedding etc were really philatelic overkill, and the latter were strongly recognised as such at the time. But the engraved definitives are lovely.

Perhaps Geoff, but I think angore is absolutely correct in saying that "the issues are mostly engraved, unique for most countries, available attractively used, and affordable." I might also add that it only covers a fifteen year time frame.
