I agree. If I were a thief, and I saw something like that, I'd just disable that microchip with a hammer, and see what's left inside.

I've always maintained that the safest things are those which attract no attention, and appear the same as everything else.

That's just it: the only anti-theft device on or in that package is the sticker. No microchips, no "13 anti-theft measures".
