Thanks rod, I bought a collection from my local auction house yesterday, I didn't realise at the time but it contained 4 albums of mint Australia from the last 20 years or so, mini sheets part sheets etc,is there anything of note from this period to look for and what % Of value would they be worth as postage ,Thanks

Jony,

Quote:
mint Australia from the last 20 years or so

Can you be more specific please?

If, from Year 2000 onwards, you may have a significant value, I am looking for stock in that era.

Opinion:
If you were in Oz, let's say a ball park of 60%-75% of face.
As you have to cover UK postage, deduct that.

If you have late mini sheets etc, I would tend to market in lots via ebay, that stuff is not readily available, however a big caveat, I see stock being offered at this price but, not aware of sales price.

If it is 1960's to 1980's mint always sells, but if used, it will be very difficult to move at any price.

I have a bid on at the moment in US, for 5 years of "this and that" mixed Aust, no sets, just hinged randomly, poss a starter collector. 70's to mid 1980's currently at $5

Faces of Australia (2000) is a valuable sheet
"International postage" (with blue band) stamps are sought after

My advice would be to scroll through Scott pages, you can pick out the more valuable quite easily.

Consider making "year sets" that may get you a premium.

Thanks again, after getting sum time last night to sort through it all it actually starts from 1913 and ends 2015, the sheet sadly isn't there but there are the internationals and the later stuff is packed with mini sheets and traffic light pairs etc, early stuff ends at 10/- roo and in best part is used, it's actually 6 albums.

Sounds exciting,
If you can scan a page or three, would give an indication of quality.

Good Luck, sound like you have purchased a neat collection.

jony,
that late stuff is fabulous, top quality.
(The die cut self adhesive on original backing etc)

The Postage dues and the Kangaroos, look OK but cannot comment further, I am not sufficiently educated on those.

I reckon you have the makings of a cracking collection, if that is the standard.

The 1966-1971 page, is ideal example of stamps that would be very difficult to move, very common.

It'll be pre-decimal as in Roos , KGVs etc where the best potential profits lay .

That 3d Olive Roo looks very interesting.

If you can offer a scan, I would appreciate it.

The Perth Postmark I do not recall seeing before.

Haven't had much time to sort through it all yet, one thing that surprises me about this collection is the volume of stamps produced in the last 20 odd years, sheets etc that I assume are in part to milk the collector of his hard earned, similar to the UK it must cost a tidy sum to keep an modern collection up to date with new release's.
