Measuring Perforations Smaller Than 10

With the self-sticking stamps we now have perforations and die cuts such as 9.5 and 8,25. I have two perforation gauges, Uni-safe and Stanley Gibbons Instanta. The former provides measuring down to 7 but only does it in 1/2 steps. The latter makes it possible to measure in much smaller increments....perfect, except that it only goes down to 10. Nothing smaller can be measured.
Is there a gauge that does both? How does the rest of the philatelic world do it?
All suggestions will be appreciated !

On this forum we have at times discussed the Precision U.S. Specialty Multi Gauge. It goes from 8 to 16 and everything in-between

I both the Precision US Specialty gauge and the Scott's Multi-gauge and prefer Scott's.

Several years ago I got such a perforation gauge from the following website: https://www.adminware.ca/esg/perfgauge.htm

The Perftronic gauge covers all these ranges as well. Not sure how it would work with self-adhesives, though.

Assuming you can't find a gauge that covers the perforation increment you are analyzing, another option is to count the number of perfs.

The gauges are calibrated to measure the perforations in a 2cm space.

So get a metric ruler with fine calibration and measure 2cm and count the perfs.
